MUDDY WATERS
Le, ou plutôt un des pères spirituels des Stones, leur nom provient d’une de ses chansons.
pdvmorris:

This is how I remember Muddy — I remember him so well……I can here his voice rumbling over the lyrics to King Bee…..This is the Flimewell Papers’ Reblog of the day…thanks for the memories mfs!

THE ROLLING STONES
Left to right: Charlie Watts, b. 1941, Keith Richards, b. 1943; Bill Wyman, b. 1936; Sir Mick Jagger, b. 1943; Brian Jones, b. 1942-1969.
Photo (1965) de Gered Mankowitz éditée sous forme de carte postale vendue au profit de la National Portrait Gallery à Londres (http://www.npg.org.uk)
Why simply“Sir Mick Jagger” , why not “Sir Michael Philip Jagger”, it would have been loftier.
“You can’t always get what you want but if you try sometimes you just might find, you get what you need”
Thanks to the Old Geezer aka pdvmorris aka The Flimwell Papers for this really beautiful postcard - unhappily, my scanner seems not to be up to the task - which made more than my day.
Je dois cette très belle carte postale - malheureusement, mon scanner ne lui rend pas vraiment justice - à la générosité du Old Geezer aka pdvmorris de The Flimwell Papers. Qu’il en soit remercié chaudement!

RYTHMS DEL MUNDO Classics (CD cover)
This CD contains classic rock songs revisited and rearranged by members of the Buena Vista Social Club. The result is sometimes surprising but always interesting.
The Rolling Stones appear two times on this CD: a first time directly with Under the Boardwalk and a second time with the version of Satisfaction by Cat Power.
Each time this CD is bought, at least 2 British pound (something between 2-3 US dollars or euro) will be donated to an environmental charity. An other good reason to buy this CD and not to steal it.
For more details, see http://www.apeuk.org and http://www.rythmsdelmundo.com.
